Commenting on the awards, Malika Jaffer, Business Development Manager at WordSIM
said, "We are thrilled to have won. The fact that a telecommunications company has
won this year in an arena traditionally dominated by the big travel companies highlights
two very important aspects especially in the current economic environment. First,
travellers are more and more concerned with all aspects of their travel and keeping
in touch cost effectively is becoming increasingly important. Mobile roaming costs
can often mount up to more than the cost of a traveller’s ticket. WorldSIM can save
travellers up to 95% on their mobile bills. Second, travel agents and travel suppliers
are looking to diversify their offerings to their clients and are actively looking
for new sources of revenue. WorldSIM does both – it offers agents a way to save
their clients money and for them to earn life-long commissions." |

The Business Travel Show
Innovation Awards aim to recognise those business travel suppliers who have
created highly innovative products, services and processes for buyers, travellers
or other suppliers in the last 12 months. Presenting the awards at the Business
Travel Show being held at Earls Court, Event Director David Chapple said, "WorldSIM’s
global roaming sim card in an excellent product for use by anyone travelling – helping
them keep in touch better and cheaper. WorldSIM’s offering is also an excellent
example of entrepreneurship and innovation that exists in the industry – broadening
the traditional offerings of suppliers."
